AboutJessica Tillings is a poet, editor, dramaturg & artist based in Lancashire.
Currently, she is working on a series of writings & art for emerging projects Necrophile, which aims to explore the addictive nature of nostalgia & dependency on the past; and The Heart is the Shadow of What is Hunted, which explores the subconscious language & compulsion of desire. Most recently, she assisted on an Arts Council England funded reimagining of Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler with Cut to the Chase productions, starring David Hoyle, which will premiered in February 2022 at the Soho Theatre, London. Previously, she was Creative Editor for MAI: Feminism & Visual Culture & the Co-Chair of the gender & sexuality research group GenSex. Additionally she has acted as Editorial Assistant for The Wolf, & founded & managed the interdisciplinary performance series Reverb. Her work has appeared in EPIZOOTICS!, Blackbox Manifold, HVTN, Guttural, MAI: Feminism & Visual Culture, SPAM Zine, The Wolf, Zarf, & DATABLEED. Jessica was the winner of the 2016 Rhiannon Evans Poetry Prize & 2017 Eileen Davis Prize. |
