I am researching & composing a collection of avant-garde poetry focused on female anatomy, experience & sexuality. My aim is to achieve a visceral poetic experience. I am collaborating with two sound engineers, who experiment with avant-garde soundscape, choral, drone, noise and post-black metal, to create an accompanying album for the collection. In addition, I will be extending to further collaboration through the visial medium, The end goal is to execute this collection as an exhibition, which will incorporate all these elements.
After I have submitted a 20 page sample of this collection for my dissertation, I will complete the collection & be seeking publication.
I will be posting previews on my home page throughout the process.

This community arts project's aims were to bring our love of creative writing to the classroom and to provide a space for children to experience, explore and develop their own writing skills. We felt strongly about the benefits of written expression for children, as well as for adults. Writing nurtures individuality, exercises the imagination, evokes empathy and provides a secure emotional outlet, as well as assists children with their communication skills. We were passionate about guiding children in expressing themselves in a nonjudgmental and noncompetitive fashion for these reasons and more! Our workshops used a range of exercises that were designed to engage the imagination, to explore the fun possibilities of the written word and, most importantly, to instill a sense of accomplishment for every child participating. The children each undertook writing exercises and with our guidance were edited and polished up into a final story. We then created an online portfolio for their work, as well as booklets for them to take home and show family and friends. It was an extremely rewarding experience,
