Jessica Tillings is a poet, editor & artist from Hampshire, UK. Based in West Lancashire. She holds first class honours in Creative Writing from Edge Hill University, where she was awarded the Eileen Davis prize for achieving the highest mark of her graduating class.. Jessica co-founded, & currently manages the interdisciplinary reading series Reverb, and co-chairs the University's gender & sexuality research group GenSex. Additionally, she was the scheduling & design intern for Edge Hill University Press during the production of the Transatlantic Poetry & Poetics Anthology Atlantic Drift.
Jessica specialises in innovative/experimental form & practice in poetry & Gender, Feminist & Sexuality theory in literature. She is the former Head Editor & Poetry Editor for Black Market Re-View & previously was the Editorial Assistant for The Wolf. Her poetry has appeared in The Wolf, ZARF & DATABLEED. She was the winner of the 2016 Rhiannon Evans Poetry Prize & was involved with the 2017 North by North West Poetry Tour, run by 'The Enemies Project. Her current projects include: Concrete Vein - a poetry & sound collaboration with sound artist Kairi Parker Shikari, and Self Anti/Anatomic ♀ - a debut collection of poetry, focusing on female anatomy & sexuality.
